Terms of Service

By creating an IdeaFox account, downloading the IdeaFox app, or using ideafox.ai, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These terms apply to all IdeaFox surfaces — iOS, Apple Watch, web, and any future platform we ship under the IdeaFox brand.

You must be at least 13 years old to use IdeaFox. You are responsible for safeguarding your sign-in credentials and for any activity that happens under your account.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account in the iOS app, or by emailing support@ideafox.ai. Deletion permanently removes your recordings, transcripts, summaries, and account profile.

IdeaFox offers a free tier and paid Pro and Max tiers. Paid tiers are auto-renewable subscriptions billed monthly through your Apple ID (iOS) or our payment processor (web).

Auto-renewal: your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.

Cancellation: manage or cancel your subscription anytime in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on iOS, or via your billing portal on the web. Cancelling stops the next renewal but does not refund the current period.

Price changes: we will notify you at least 30 days before any price change takes effect. You may cancel before the change takes effect.

Free tier: you can use the free tier indefinitely. We may impose reasonable usage limits to keep the service available for everyone.

You own everything you record, transcribe, and summarise with IdeaFox. We do not claim any ownership of your content.

We process your audio and transcripts only to deliver the service to you (transcription, summarisation, sync). We do not train models on your content. We do not sell your content. We do not show your content to advertisers.

You grant IdeaFox a limited licence to store and process your content on our servers (or your device) for the sole purpose of providing the Service to you.

You agree not to use IdeaFox to record anyone without their consent where consent is required by law, to upload illegal content, to attempt to reverse engineer the Service, to disrupt our infrastructure, or to violate any third party's rights.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where reasonable.

IdeaFox uses third-party services to deliver the product: Apple (Sign in with Apple, App Store payments, Apple Intelligence), Google (Sign in with Google, Gemini AI for cloud summaries), Firebase (storage and authentication), and RevenueCat (subscription management).

Your use of these services is governed by their own terms. We have selected providers that meet enterprise privacy and security standards, but we do not control their actions.

IdeaFox is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do our best to deliver an accurate, reliable, fast service, but we cannot guarantee that transcriptions are 100% accurate, summaries are perfect, or the service is always available.

You are responsible for verifying any output before relying on it for important decisions.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, IdeaFox and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or RM 100, whichever is greater.

We may update these terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will notify you in-app or by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect.

Continuing to use IdeaFox after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Kuala Lumpur, unless local consumer protection law gives you a different right that we cannot waive.
